What is junior parkrun?

junior parkrun is a free, fun, friendly, weekly, community event organised by volunteers of all ages for children aged 4 to 14. 2k junior parkrun events take place on Sunday mornings in the UK, Ireland and Australia. junior parkrun is a great introduction for all the family to be physically active outside together. 

Taking part is easy! Once you have registered your child, their account will have a barcode to bring along on Sunday morning to take part in junior parkrun. parkrun barcodes can be used at their local event or any other parkrun event in the world. When they reach 11, 21, 50, 100 and 250 junior parkruns, whether they walk, jog or run, they automatically enter a milestone club. Colourful milestone club wristbands are handed out at junior events by the volunteer team.

Prospect junior parkrun

Harbour Sports Club is working with the local community in Reading to organize the new Prospect junior parkrun, which is expected to be held at Prospect Park every Sunday at 9am from May. junior parkrun is a great opportunity for the community to come together and meet local friends, and we want to encourage everyone to run and volunteer together.

We have currently recruited more than 20 volunteers from Hong Kong and the local area, and we will volunteer together and gain experience at the Dinton Pastures junior parkrun on March 17th. Friends who are interested in joining can email isaac@harboursc.co.uk.

junior parkrun是專為 4 至 14 歳兒童而設的免費社區活動。junior parkrun 路線長 2 公里，每逢星期日早上在英國、愛爾蘭和澳洲各個公園進行，舉辦過程由義工一手包辦。junior parkrun 正是絕佳機會鼓勵全家人一起進行戶外活動。

參與方式十分簡單。只要你為孩子在網上註冊，取得專屬條碼，就可在週日早上參加 junior parkrun。parkrun 條碼可以在本地或世界上任何地方的 parkrun 中使用。無論是散步或奔跑，每當參加者完成了 11、21、50、100 和 250 次 junior parkruns，他們都會達成里程成就，獲頒發彩色的里程手帶。

Prospect junior parkrun

Harbour Sports Club 正與雷丁本地社區籌辦全新的 Prospect junior parkrun，預期五月開始將於每週日早上九點於Prospect Park舉行。junior parkrun是讓社區齊聚、認識本地朋友的好機會，我們希望鼓勵大家一起奔跑和擔任義工。

我們目前已經招募了超過20位來自香港及本地的義工，並將於三月十七號一起於Dinton Pastures junior parkrun 擔任義工獲取經驗，有興趣加入的朋友可以電郵至 isaac@harboursc.co.uk 與我們聯絡。
