Harbour Athletics Club - 130km Running Challenge

Harry Loasby, the Chairperson of Harbour Athletics Club, will take on this 130km challenge on 15 April to raise funds for the club! He will be running from Brighton Pier to Waterloo Bridge in London, via Down's Link - an old railway that has been converted into a trail, with a time target of 13 hours. The goal is to spread the word of our new club, and to raise some funds so we can work towards more projects for Hong Kongers all over the UK, just like the Reading 21 training programme. More information on this fundraiser can be found at:

Harry himself, as a British born in Hong Kong, is a migrant. He understands very well the challenges of speaking another language, living in a different culture, and being an ethnic minority to the community. Because of this background, he is very passionate and active in helping Hong Kongers integrate into the UK communities through sports, and has taken up the Chairperson role of Harbour Athletics Club.

This will be the furthest he has ever run, and we hope to involve as many people as we can, and inspire others to challenge their own limits. And to add a bit of spice to the challenge, Harry's personal goals are to hopefully set personal records for 50 miles (8 hours, 14mins) and 100km (9 hours, 56mins) along the way, and finish the challenge in 13 hours or less! If you live in Brighton, Guildford or London, or any of the nearby towns along the way, and have a connection to refugees, immigration, Hong Kong, running, or even none of the above! - please join us for parts of the challenge! Everyone is welcome to tag along.
